Living in Troubling Times
For the first time in my adult life, I am actually afraid of the direction our country and this industry might be taking. There have been times over the years when I have been apprehensive, but never afraid.
I’m not sure we have ever had a President and a Democratic Congress making what I consider reckless decisions with no real checks and balances in place ¾ and the mind-set that every piece of legislation they propose needs to be “ram-rodded” through without the opposition having the opportunity of studying the bill(s).
Can you imagine the chaos our businesses would be in if we just blindly signed legal documents without reading them thoroughly and not given the opportunity to make changes?
Talk-show host Glenn Beck says we’ve lost our common sense. Unfortunately and pathetically, he’s right.
